christmas is over, new year coming:)
Christmas is finally over, next up new years:) All the kids have been out of whack do to school being out so I've been extra busy keeping up with them. Wr celebrated christmas at both of our our families and boxingday at home. They were all happy with thier gifts and only one melt down due to Normand stealing. My hope for the new year is that Normand actually gets real help and that we have CPS out of our lives as they cause more stress them good.

Busy, busy time! I haven't even started to bake for Christmas, I'll have to start. My parents kids party was a lot of fun, so was David's works. Not much left in way of Christmas parties which is good because that leaves for a stress free Christmas:)
I served the court order that I needed to and that took a whole day! Our new worker came over for the first time on Friday, complemented on the house and such but acted like she didn't think that they were going to dismiss the court case grrr. After being told by many people that they were going to dismiss it if you agree to their demands. Of course they have had no demands which is odd, I expected to be told to go to parenting classes and the such, why bother? I mean if they have only issues with one child and his behavoir and he's getting better on his new meds ,what kind of help can they possible help with? I bet the lady is waiting for the court date to become a real bitch! oh well can't dwell on that, if I dance to thier music I might end this sooner.

Christmas is coming and I see hope:)
This Christmas might not be as crazy as last year enough said.
Normand started a new medication last week and now has started to make eye contact and is sleeping, oh my he's not up to 3am then up at 5am.His sleeping means less work for me.
Our tree is up and my house decorated I cheaped out on wrapping paper and bought plastic gift bags, they are basically a garbage bag with snowflakes,so all the kids gifts are wrapped.Saved myself time and money. Christmas shopping is almost done, just need to find a gift for David and I.I get to buy myself a gift from David because he's a non shopper.I think I'm going to get David some nice gloves and something electronic.Myself IDK,it's hard to get a gift for myself, usually I'm a gift giver not a receiver and most things I like Normand will end up breaking some how.

Busy week~ busy life~
This week has been qiute busy. Christmas parties are underway, supervised access for the boys and so much more. All the kids are happy and really busy.
Normand has now been diagnosed with: adhd, ocd, tourettes, asperger's. All I can think about is my hope that he'll out grow it has shattered, on hard days I think to myself only 8 more years then it'll get so much better but now unless he's medicated he'll never be normal. Adhd was such an easy diagnoses but asperger's is a hard one.
On a good note , I have chickens,4 of the little guys, they will stay tiny but still they are soo cute. I'll get an egg layer or two in a few months when it's warmer. For now the four are in the basement as they are too young to even think about having outside.

Wow busy , busy week!
I just finished one of my busiest weeks. I hope to never have to repeat it. Court when well, we have to go back in Jan but it looks like they will drop the case.Normand has been worse, he has just finished a in school suspension his second this year. Won't go into the details too much but it wasn't like him to attack other kids. I also got to go to the dentist and found out I need a root canal or my tooth pulled. Our insurance will cover it in the new year so if anything happens before then it'll get pulled.
Today we went to St.Cath Santa parade, it was packed but the kids had a blast. Next week the Christmas parties start, we don't have as many as we used to have to attend but our calender is still really full. Here's hoping for a relaxing week:)

grrrrrrrr
Well it's Christmas shopping season, the one I dread. Don't get me wrong I love to shop but the crowds suck, checking out shouldn't take 1/2 a hour, parking lots suck too. Good news, I get 3 free hours a day during the weekdays, boys and girls kids club rocks. 25 membership and dinner option for $1 all I can think is wow! I can go back to school after all.
Court was today and everything when ok , we get to go back in Jan which is most likely going to get thrown out. Talked to a sub worker as the one assigned to us is sick(again!) and she agreed every thing has been done that can be done, our area just doesn't have the programs for kids with mental health issues, shocking as In Canada, suicide accounts for 24 percent of all deaths among 15-24 year olds and 16 percent among 16-44 year olds. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for Canadians between the ages of 10 and 24.8 Seventy-three percent of hospital admissions for attempted suicide are for people between the ages of 15 and 44.People with mood disorders are at a particularly high risk of suicide.Studies indicate that more than 90 percent of suicide victims have a diagnosable psychiatric illness, and suicide is the most common cause of death for people with schizophrenia. Both major depression and bipolar disorder account for 15 to 25 percent of all deaths by suicide in patients with severe mood disorders. For a killer deasease it just isn't talked about, yes Normand isn't depressed but the rate of deaths cause by mental illnesses is staggering.Canada needs to wake up and actually stop waisting tax dollars and do something.

play forts, cookies and video games, that's what boys are made of:)
Tonight for the second night in a row we had no issues at bed time:) It's 6:00 and only one more kid to shower. Today Normand's big thing was building a fort, of course I had to pull him from the trees at the park and convince him the back yard was cool. I then did what "bad" parents do and allowed the kids to play with halo for 3 hours straight. I have been baking with the kids lately and today was cookies and yesterday was banana bread. Jeremiah and Rebecca really enjoy that,of course I have to also keep Normand entertained. Jeremiah likes to read the recipe for us and Rebecca's favorite part is licking the spoon.
Yesterday was Rebecca's first day of school, she seemed to enjoy herself, today she fell asleep on the bus the short 3 block drive. She's been so cute about wanting to go to school ,a little boy gave her a welcome back card:)
